SNSD who debuted in 2007 with "Into The New World", experienced honorable moments and tough ups and downs and has grown for 10 years.
Although they seemed to be in a crisis when Jessica withdrew from the group in 2014, since then SNSD has been newly reborn as a group of 8 and got even more solid.
Most girl groups tend to waver when they reach their 7th year. 2NE1, Rainbow, Sistar and 4minute are typical examples. As the word "7th year jinx" exist, a lot of girl groups failed to overcome it.
The standard contract period between idols and their agencies is 7 years. However SNSD has been strong for 10 years. It is an impossible thing without loyalty and friendship between the members and trust in their agency SM entertainment.
They had lots of hit songs during their 10 years of activities. "Lion Heart", "Party", "Oh!", "Gee", "I Got A Boy", "Genie", "Hoot" and "Girls Generation". A huge fandom and popularity became the base so they were able to achieve good results and become influential.
Many juniors choose SNSD as their role models. Although the main reason is their long period of activity, Its also because the members are active in various fields and showing their presence.
SNSD will be releasing their 6th full album "Holiday Night" on the 4th at 6 pm on music sites and will be holding a fan meeting on the 5th.
On the 10th they will perform the double title tracks, Holiday and All Night on M! Countdown for the first time.
